The South Dakota Hotel & Lodging Association (SDHLA) is a non-profit association incorporated under the laws of the State of South Dakota and governed by a fifteen-member Board of Directors. Members are elected at the Annual Membership Meeting, which is held in January. The Board is represented by member properties of all sizes and from all areas of the state.

SDHLA's objective is to work on behalf of the lodging industry to ensure a fair and balanced regulatory climate - so that South Dakota's hospitality businesses can continue to provide excellent, friendly service to our visitors – and to help promote tourism.
